DESIRES _ AVERSIONS _ FEARS 

While flipping through case after case are we homeopaths taking enough guard to elicit pure desires and aversions of the patient ?  Are we giving due attention to whether the anxieties and fears expressed are the result of any previous incident in the life of the patient or close relatives ? If not are we making the right prescription ?


It is my experience that when asked about desires and aversions patients jump the gun and list out many things. On close scrutiny I am forced to strike off many of them since they are not genuine desires/ aversions.  A genuine desire/aversion  must come from the heart. Any desire or aversion influenced  previous  advise by doctors, dietitians, magazine articles, changing belief system of the patient etc must be carefully sorted out and deleted.   "Some heart transplant recipients start craving things the heart's previous owner liked."  You can see how closely the desires and aversions of a person are related to his heart. 

The same hold true to fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety caused by a previous incident need to be counted with caution and in comparison to the incident that made the fear and anxiety appear.


Next time you take the case please be mindful of these suggestions and see the difference 

Gall stone or kidney colic

In any case of gall-stone or kidney colic you cannot tell if there will be more stones.
When the stone has been formed, it is separate from the patient.
When the patient is under the influence of pain, it is the spasm from the stone in the ureter; clutching of the muscles.
The remedy that fits the constitution has a tendency to prevent the manufacture of more stones and relieves the spasm that occasions the pain.
After the remedy there may be an outpouring of stones, either renal or gall-stones.
In one case a teaspoonful of stones were discharged in one or two days.
The fibres were relaxed and the kidney was emptied of stones.
This the remedy does when aimed at the patient.
